Student Spotlight: Kim Grosse

Kim Grosse

After taking my very first introductory flight lesson at age 13, I could not stop thinking about aviation. At age 16, I got my private pilots license. Flying has been an important part of me ever since - a passion that I wanted to have a career in. That's why I decided to get my BS in Aeronautics at ERAU. After an internship at Lufthansa Cargo, I decided to continue my education with a MS in Aeronautics and Human Factors in Aviation Systems which I just recently finished. I am now looking to dive into an exciting career in the aviation industry.

To me being an ERAU student means to be part of an international community and network of people that all have a shared passion - aviation

Where is your favorite place to travel?

In high school I was a foreign exchange student to California's Central Coast - I've been hooked on this place ever since and travel there as often as I can.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

I probably couldn't decide. There are too many places I would like to see. Give me warm weather, beaches, and some culture to explore - I am in.

If you could meet one special person, who and why?

I am lucky to have already met that special person - my significant other. He supports me in everything I do. But this also holds for my entire family. I would not want to be without them.

Do you have a favorite quote or philosophy you'd like to share?

Do more of what makes you happy. I think it is important not to forget about what you love and follow your passions. Life is way too short to not enjoy.

Favorite books, films, music?

I love listening to Coldplay and would love to see a concert one day.
